[blindkid] Questions about rulers and perpetual calendars

Treva, 

That is an interesting ruler. Can you explain how the scale is read? 

Are there braille numbers for inches or must one count the whole way up the scale? I can't seem to tell from the description and the photos is too small to make that out.
