Nemith because these numbers will soon be fractions, percentages etc, so
therefore the numbers need to start in nemith so it isn't confusing when the
numbers get bigger. Bran

Subject: [blindkid] Nemeth & Word Problems
Hi!
We have been having a discussion around here about whether numbers
listed in a word problem should be in Nemeth numbers or Braille numbers. The
word problems are on Math papers, but are in the form of paragraphs. For
example, "Farmer Smith wants to fence in his garden to keep out the rabbits.
He wants to have the largest possible area for his garden, but he only has
156 feet of fencing. What is the best shape and dimensions for his garden?"
What do you think?
Thanks,
Wendy Molle
