Trudy,
I worked with the Leadership Houston group during the past year for input into the Palmetto Multi-Sensory Trail. They were very diligent about getting it right and purposeful - both of which were done. While there were a few things I personally didn't see a need for, I took a step back and realized the trail is for all blind people - those trained, and not trained. We took our kids from the Houston BELL Program over the summer, and they loved it! You can visit their website - http://palmettomultisensorytrail.org/. You are also welcome to contact me off list for more information.

Subject: [blindkid] Sensory Trail State Park
Hi Everyone I am very excited that our local state Park has contacted me about a sensory trail that is being constructed at our state park just 10 minutes from us. They have asked me to come and walk thru where it is going to be and give coments from a parents point of view. I am wondering if any of you have done a Out side sensory trail. and things you liked or did not like. I am to go on Tuesday to walk it then there is a boy scout troop coming next weekend to help finsh creating it. Thank you
