[blindkid] how would you handle this PSAT issue?

Sally I have never heard of them even flinching on their deadline for
requirements and notice of accommodations. So it is a great and wonderful
surprise to me too. Perhaps something has broken through, perhaps the earful
recv'd live and in person, I think Steve mentioned, at convention has had an
impact> I rejoice :) If he gets an up-to-date actual current same as his
peers test I will fall off my chair with glee! :) Sorry to take anything
away from the guidance counselor but I do personally have experience with
several professionals getting no where with them in the past if timelines
were not kept...I think the "break" came from somewhere else, but glad the
counselor tried as nothing could have come of it if they had not contacted
the Board. Best of Luck to David on the test!

We had an interesting development with the PSAT. Today David's guidance
counselor called to say that they had convinced the College Board to send
the test. I asked if it was the regular test and she assured me that it was

and that the accommodations had been approved. David is due to take the
test at the same time as his sighted peers. He does have extended time so
he will take it in a different room. They also gave me his SSD code # that
is supposed to be good throughout high school. I'm really surprised,
frankly. I thanked her for her efforts. Somehow it seems amazing to me
that they could miss the deadline and still make this happen. Am I missing
something? After all the trouble we have had with deadlines, it's hard to
believe this one is working out!
