[blindkid] Economics Test

Barbara,
Sorry I am late with this... test already taken or in process of taking, but
Michael took a microeconomics class last semester (spring semester of his
freshman year in college) and he and his professor were satisfied with
describing the diagram. What purpose would it serve to physically draw it?
Now... to be able to tactually feel a diagram as you are learning the
concept of different kinds of diagrams is very important, but she is beyond
that.....
So I agree with Treva, hopefully the teacher can be a bit more flexible in
the future. There are A LOT of ways to skin a cat. And as I am learning
about college life/Braille/textbook access.... student and professor have to
be flexible.
Just my opinion

Hi Barbara,
I haven't really had this type of experience because I didn't use Braille in
high school, but if she can verbally describe the diagram in detail with all
of the parts and if she knows the subject matter, I would think that would
be sufficient. Her teacher should have said something sooner so a tactile
diagram could have been made, and she could have labeled the parts. I'm
guessing the diagram's not in the book.
I hope the test goes well!

Subject: [blindkid] Economics Test
Hi all -- Does anyone have a child who has taken high school
Economics? My daughter's AP Economics teacher told her she'll need to draw
a diagram on a test tomorrow. She's a braille user, so this doesn't make
sense to me. I'm sure there other ways to demonstrate that she understands
the subject matter. Any suggestions?
-Barbara
