Actually, this is not accurate.  Section 508 is Section 508 of the 
Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.  It primarily is concerned 
with technology and IT-type services that the Federal Government 
acquires (purchases.)  It also may apply to entities who receive 
large sums of federal money.  Finally, it has been adopted by several 
states, including Minnesota where I live.  It does cover federal web sites.

The ADA, as passed did not talk about the web, since the web as we 
know it did not exist.  Its regulations are gradually being extended 
to cover the web, but this is not yet a done deal.
