We send them "Free Matter for the Blind" and have not had a problem.
They have to have an attached a customs coupon. We state the value as
$0 since they have no real resale value and keep the boxes small.

Subject: [blindkid] Free Matter Question
Hello All,
I have sent Braille books via Free Matter for the Blind in the US and
Canada.
Has anyone sent things out of the country? I wanted to send some books
to a school in Ethiopia, but was told I could not send Free Matter. Has
anyone had experience with this? Is the cost prohibitive to ship
Braille books out of the country?
Thanks!
Eileen Molloy
