I strongly disagree, and would urge list members to read through the
convention protocol before voicing complaint.

In my reading of it, the convention urges governments to recognize the
rights of children with disabilities to an education, and asks them to
ensure that children are not excluded from education on the basis of
disability. It stresses accessibility, accommodations, and individualized
support. It further encourages teaching of Braille and other skills by
qualified teachers. In no place does it tell me how to educate my child.

A protocol of this type could be a lifesaver for special needs children in
some countries, where parents could only hope to have the issues we face in
the US. We are very lucky indeed.

Just my opinion.
