Hi Jill,
It's Jessica from the NOAH website and Albinism_International.
An, Orientation and Mobility specilist would help Andrew learn how to
get around in unfimilar places. When he was three years old an had the
O&M evaluation done was in a fimiliar place so at that point yes he
would have been fine. However, I don't know why they wouldn't have
reevaluated him when he started both at the preschool and at the
elementary school.
Keep in mind my first introduction to O&M was at summer camp run at the
school for the blind in Utah the camp was run by the outreach director
at the whom was my TVI's boss. Formally I didn't have my formal
introduction to O&M wasn't until I was a Sophomore in high school, And,
ever since then I always worked with an Orientation and Mobility
Specialist has worked with me whenever I've moved to a new unfimiliar area.
