[blindkid] an update on Joey

Hello everyone ...

   I just wanted to send out an update on our little Joey. We recently traveled from Cincinnati to Cleveland to get a second opinion from the Retina specialist there. When we saw him he reviewed Joey's records and told us that he was certain that Joey had Battens Disease. We had gone down this road before and thought we had this ruled out. Once back in Cincinnati we had some blood work done and got the results back two days ago. It breaks my heart to say that Joey does in fact have have Battens Disease. We will be getting the other kids tested soon as they have a chance to have this horrid disease as well. 

I just want to thank you all for your emails and responses in the past. Our family really appreciates it!
