Most of my students learned how to sew using these techniques
watch this video:
http://www.yourtechvision.com/content/video-blind-student-learning-how-sew-sewing-machine
that is the sewing machine and they made as fancy as a skirt and other
types of clothes...lots of pillows--the boys :) --girls got more
sophisticated
get self threading needles and a good tactile ruler to measure out where
buttons go, etc
one girl made tons of jewelry using these methods...it is touch and practice
Every child---either blind or sighted should and with me needed to know how
to hem pants and sew on buttons
