Allison,

It looks almost like a garage door opener, but about less than 1/2 the size
maybe, maybe 1/2 the size.  If that gives you an idea of size.  I has the
same kind of clip on the back that our garage door opener has, the metal
clip that allows it to be slid onto something.

I don't think this replaces a cane, but I see where it would help those
kids in underdeveloped countries (through donations) who don't have access
to canes.  I would not let my kids use this and NO cane.  Nope.  :)
