My mom, Traci, invited me to l, e, a, r, n. I had trouble trusting some
relatives. Over time, I began to hear it from Mom about the way they were
treating me. I was spending a summer in Philadelphia in 1986.. One
Wednesday summer day in August, we were promised, (me and my sister,) to go
to the New Jersey State Fair in Cherry Hill. After forever waiting, I
began to conclude that my aunt was lying. So, I devised a plan that I
would wait for no one when I turned 18; (I was 12 at the time,) I would ask
a friend, or take public transportation, and that would be that. I'm 41
now, and I have followed through!
