[blindkid] pet dog: what size to adopt?

We have a goldendoodle and they come in three sizes.  I have to say his breed is so sweet, gentle, smart, kind, and clean.  I never allowed previous dogs on our couch and bed but he doesn't shedd.  The ideal bread for a companion and guide.  Ours is 80lb and still gets stepped on by my son who has some remaining sight.  Size should only matter in your personal taste.

I work with a rescue here in Ohio. That would not be a deciding factor. A dog of any size will quickly learn the kids. You can train the dog to lay on its bed or the couch so it's not on the floor to be tripped on. Your son could call for the dog to come so he knows where he is at.

With that being said, my completely blind son has always had a dog. Currently we have 3 Great Danes and he is currently in the process of getting his own guide dog. He is 13 now! Dogs are a boy's best friend for a very good reason!
