[blindlaw] Signing Documents as blind attorneys

It depends on what instrument you are affixing the signature to.  There are
some letters where that may work.  There are others where it does not.  In
Texas, you cannot use a rubber stamp on a pleading, though in most cases, we
are doing electronic filing and your login code is your electronic signature
and a physical one does not need to be there.

So I'm guessing this would be determined by what jurisdiction you are in.

I would shy away from the stamp unless I'm sending out generic letters that
do not offer specific legal advice, etc.  We only use them for advertisement
letters and such.  We never use them for anything case related.

as a power of attorney for my father, who is blind.

Is a rubber stamp of someone's signature a legal signature?

hi,

are you signing/stamping your signature at the same place or is the line at
different places on the pages?
if you know the x will always be at the same spot, create a cardboard or
laminated guide with a l notch.
the bottom edge will line up with the bottom edge of the page and the corner
of the l notch will provide the correct x/y position for the bottom left
corner of your stamp.

if you have assistance, ask the person to punch one staple vertically at the
left end of the signature line but that may destroy your printer so perhaps
use a hole punch to do the same.
