[blindlaw] Blackberry and screen reader

The Apple i-phone is the most popular phone in the US, I think. Apple made
it talk right out of the box by creating a screen reader built into the
operating system called Voiceover. I was a bit skeptical, because its a
touch screen phone. But it absolutely works great. Typing is slow, but it
is also slow on a little querty keyboard too. I'm not the most coordinated
person with my fingers, and I have no problems. If you go to apple.com,
select iphone, and click on accessibility, you'll be able to read about it.

I don't know if any of you have tried the iphone, but its great. I paid
$300 for mine, and it has 32gb and talks fully out of the box. The screen
reader for blackberry costs almost $500 by itself. I use my iphone for
emails, I can text, read audio books on the ipod, and just about everything
you can think of. I have been very impressed with the thing.

I'd assume so as friends of mine have their calendar from Microsoft Outlook
uploaded to their BlackBerry and they can read e-mail and send e-mail and if
it's set up propperly it will send or it will send when you download the
e-mail onto yourregular computer.
