[blindlaw] jury duty in Virginia?

Gerard:

This is an interesting perspective.  I know you are in Ireland.  Are
practicing lawyers excluded from jury service there?  If so, why?

I am very surprised that practicing lawyers are not automatically barred
from serving on a jury by law.
