[blindlaw] Strike Through in PDFs

Dear List,
I was hoping someone would be able to help me with a problem. For my externship in school I'm supposed to be reading and reporting on some of the pending bills in the legislative session. The bills are in PDFA format. I'm needing to be able to know when the bill indicates a word has been striken from the statute. I'm using JAWS 14 and I have changed the speech settings so that it is supposed to indicate attribute changes, including the strike through. So far, I have had no luck with getting JAWS to recognize the striken material.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
