Greetings folks, I bring this to your attention and I personally support the reappointment of Commissioner Feldblum.  She has been a strong advocate for persons with dsiabilities and making sure that the EEOC is actively enforcing the ADA.  Many members of the Disability Rights Bar Associaition and the National Employment Lawyers Association are supporting her reappointment.  So, I give you the below information should you choose to act upon it.

Sign-On Letter For Individual Lawyers/Firms Who Practice Disability Rights Law To Support Immediate 
Reappointment of EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum

Dear Colleagues,

One of our coalition partners has circulated the attached letter in support of Chai Feldblum's nomination for a second term on the EEOC. This letter seeks signatures from individual lawyers and/or their firms. (There will likely be an organizational letter that NELA may sign.)

Commissioner Feldblum's first term as a commissioner expired in July, but she is permitted to serve through the end of the first session of the 113th Congress. The first session will end when Congress adjourns in December.  Her nomination for a second term was recently reported out of the Senate <http://www.help.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/?id=4bf4c987-b2ad-4479-be50-db8c61c1b3e6&groups=Chair>  Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). The full Senate must now vote on her nomination before Congress recesses in December.  If she does not receive a vote before then, the EEOC will have a vacancy. A vacancy will leave the EEOC with a 2-2 split which will likely result in commission gridlock.  

Please let me know BY NOON PACIFIC Time FRIDAY if you or your firm would like to sign the letter. Please include your state of residence and/or practice.
