The event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to comment on the Board's proposal which was released on February 18. Witnesses can only testify in person.
The hearing is part of a Board town hall meeting and will take place at the Division of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 250 North 1950 West #B in Salt Lake City. Those who wish to testify are encouraged to sign-up in advance by contacting Kathy Johnson at johnson at access-board.gov<mailto:johnson at access-board.gov>, (202) 272-0041 (voice), or (202) 272-0065 (TTY). Registration, however, is not required.
This hearing follows two others that the Board held in San Diego on March 5 and in Washington, D.C. on March 11. Written comments on the proposed rule will be accepted until May 28.
