           We’re hiring two attorneys to join our team in our Oakland, CA office. Please share this email widely.

                  Since 1972 Justice in Aging (formerly the National Senior Citizens Law Center) has used its expertise in government safety net programs like Social Security, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid and IHSS to fight senior poverty. If you or someone you know would like to join a nationally-recognized organization with a rich tradition of successful, high-impact, strategic advocacy and litigation on behalf of the more than six million seniors living in poverty in America, please read the job description and help us share widely. 

                  Justice in Aging is looking for individuals who are experts in Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) for seniors and people with disabilities; and who are passionate about and experienced in serving populations who have traditionally lacked legal protection such as women, people of color, LGBT individuals and people with limited English proficiency. The successful candidates will help lead new projects focused on improving access to Supplemental Security Income and In Home Supportive Services for low-income seniors and people with disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, while working closely with attorneys in the organization’s Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, California offices.
