> Subject: Launch of New Diverse Speakers Directory
>
> Dear Diversity Center Members,
>
> The new Diverse Speakers Directory (Directory) in now live and accessible via the ABA Diversity and Inclusion Portal. It’s an important resource that is meant to assist ABA entities with identifying diverse speakers nationwide/worldwide for their Continuing Legal Education (CLE) or other programs.
>
> We are working hard to populate the Directory by spreading the word and encouraging diverse attorneys (both members and non-members) to create a free profile on the Directory. To this end, we can really use your immediate assistance with encouraging diverse attorneys in your network to create a profile that will market their experience and expertise to more than 3500 ABA entities -- enhancing their resumes, careers, and speaking opportunities. FYI, those ABA members that had participated in the old Diverse Speakers Directory will be receiving an email announcing and encouraging them to create a new profile on the Directory.
>
> Below we provided some key information on creating a profile. Thank you for your attention and assistance with this critical initiative.

> How Can Attorneys Create a Directory Profile?
>
> Through a few simple steps members and non-members can create a free profile that will allow them to market themselves to more than 3500 ABA entities seeking speakers for programs nationwide and around the world. The Directory is similar to a LinkedIn profile in that speakers can provide their bios, areas of expertise, location availability, technical skills, willingness to travel, contact and diversity information and more. Speakers will also (for the first time) be able to post video and audio of their past speaking engagements.
>
> To create a profile on the Directory, members will be asked to log-in to the ABA website using their username and password. Once logged in they will automatically be led to the Directory where their membership (including diversity) information, from Personify (ABA’s membership database), will be pre-populated making the creation of a profile even easier. Non-members will also be able to build a speakers profile, but will first need to create a username and password. Once a profile is complete, user’s will see a box asking them to “opt-in” to have their profile become searchable and appear in search results.
