You mention a cab driver. Does this paratransit agency contract with a local cab company? Find out who manages the particular driver at issue and contact that organization.

I have called every day for the past week. They claim that the cab driver has not responded. I would think that a simple yes or no from the driver would not be hard to obtain. They don't seem to have a real lost-&-found department. I left a message with a supervisor today and haven't heard back.
I am not hopeful.

Thanks for your advice!

Did you call Access Services to see if they found it? That is the first step. Your second step is to call and cancel any credit or debit cards you had in your wallet. If you are unable to find your wallet in a few days, you will need to go to Social Security to get a new card. Your birth certificate and another form of identification should suffice. Bring your expired passport. Social Security can also use an employee ID card, school ID card, health insurance card (not a Medicare card), or a U.S. military ID card to verify your identity. Once you get a new Social Security card, I highly recommend that you store it securely in your home and that you not take it with you in your wallet. It is not necessary to carry it.

Lost All ID, Where To Turn? I lost my wallet on Access Services, (Paratransit in Los Angeles). I need SSA card to replace California ID and I need California ID to get SSA card replaced. I do have birth certificate and expired passport. I can get limited California ID, but, I can't fly on airlines. I know I am not the first to lose wallet and ID. How do I get this fixed?

Thanks in advanced!

Roger Baccus
