Subject: Georgetown Tech Law Institute Announces New Project on Algorithmic Fairness for People with Disabilities — Institute for Technology Law & Policy @ Georgetown Law

Hi all,
My colleagues at Georgetown Law’s tech law institute just launched an initiative on algorithmic/AI fairness/bias and disability for which they’re searching for a director:

https://www.georgetowntech.org/news-fullposts/ai-pwd

They are trying to attract someone with significant legal experience on disability rights issues. I think this is a great opportunity to do a deep dive on an issue of increasing importance with excellent institutional support, and hope some of you might have ideas on folks who might fit the bill. The institute is new to these issues, but its ED, Alex Givens, is the daughter of Christopher Reeve and has been personally engaged on disability policy for a long time, and I know many of the faculty affiliated with the Center are hugely supportive of this initiative and would be excellent collaborators on the tech/AI side of things.

Please feel free to forward along, and I’m happy to make introductions to folks at the Center if helpful.

-Blake
