Google voice has been working well for me for more than 7 years. I have also
used CSIPSimple with VOIP credentials.
Are you just looking for an extra number? or are you looking to spoof your
caller id...

Subject: [blindLaw] Softphone
Does anyone have experience with software based access to a company phone
system? If so, what are you using, and how accessible is it? My IT
consultant was talking about it, and it sounded much better than using my
cell to call clients while I am working from home. He wanted me to change
phone providers, however, and I am not interested in getting into that if I
don't have to. AT&T may have a lot of shortcomings, but the service is
working fine, and the fiber connection to the internet is hard to beat.
Thanks for any feedback.
Brian
