Good afternoon:

Just another wild thought/question.  Does the presence or absence of a commercial antimalware program, other than Windows Defender,  seem to make a  difference in the behavior of  JAWS or NVDA on a Dell machine?
  I have experienced serious performance degradation whenever I have tried to use commercial antivirus software with Windows  based screen readers, hence my question.

Hi all.

For my part, I have still been working through this with my friend.
It's tough, because I need to connect with him when it starts acting like it's going to crash, and he needs to be available, and it needs to be soon enough so that the computer doesn't crash before he gets on.

Also, while it would be convenient to blame Vespero, it appears to be happening with both NVDA and Jaws.

What we've been able to determine so far is that it is definitely a memory leak. The ram usage slowly creeps up, but when looking at the different processes, Windows does not show that any particular process is using a lot of memory. Anyway, we plan to keep digging.

For reference, I am using a 2020 XPS 13 with 16GB of ram. I did not experience this issue on my 2016 XPS 13.

Will keep everyone posted.
