Two Senior Attorneys, National Court Projects 

The Center is seeking two full-time Senior Attorneys to work with our  <https://americanbar.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=548184a89cd99836da15f4848&id=04eefe1e7c&e=ab91b6a2b6> Court Projects team. The Senior Attorneys will engage in legal system reform efforts with child welfare stakeholders throughout the country, including Court Improvement Projects (CIP), agencies, judges, attorneys, federal and state partners, and tribes. The Senior Attorneys will work primarily on the Capacity Building Center for Courts, a federally funded grant program to support CIPs in designing, developing, and evaluating court reform efforts.  Senior Attorneys may also work on grant development and often have opportunities over time to cultivate a portfolio of their own projects in the child welfare legal field based on individual interest and expertise.

Senior Attorney, Legal Representation Project

A new Senior Attorney position will support our  <https://americanbar.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=548184a89cd99836da15f4848&id=3767e3e89e&e=ab91b6a2b6> Legal Representation project area. This attorney will conduct substantive child welfare legal work for the Center’s grant-funded projects. The person in this position will focus on improving legal representation for parents, children, and government agencies in the child welfare system. The individual will facilitate change efforts in multiple states, staff the National Alliance for Parent Representation and the Family Justice Initiative, assist with planning national conferences, provide web-based and in-person training and technical assistance, focus on implementing policies such as using Title IV-E reimbursement for legal representation, create new tools and articles, and collaborate on multiple Center projects focused on legal representation.

Staff Attorney 1, Kinship and Education Projects

This attorney will conduct substantive child welfare legal work for the Center’s grant funded projects.
