This position is located in the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau,
Disability Rights Office (DRO).  The incumbent serves as a senior attorney
advisor, providing expert advice on complex legal issues related to
telecommunications and accessibility matters.

The incumbent is responsible for researching and drafting documents and
analyses as assigned.  The incumbent will normally initiate the drafting
process for rulemaking proceedings.  The incumbent prepares policy
statements, rules, notices, voluntary guidelines, or other documents
related to telecommunications.  The incumbent must possess excellent
writing and legal analytical skills in order to be able to draft notices of
proposed rulemaking and regulations.
