The primary issue I’m aware of with Dell is the Waves MaxxAudio process, which can be disabled. Doing this has virtually eliminated the numerous crashes I was experiencing with JAWS and Office applications. I also turn off things like spatial audio in the sound settings in control panel. At least, these things have worked in Windows 10. At this point, having done these two things, I have no issues with my firm-issued Dell machines. Good luck.

If you rely heavily on the screen reader feature of fusion, Dell's have some weird new spacial audio thing that really messes with the screen reader. I got a Dell for law school and immediately exchanged it for a Lenovo when I realized my screen reader wasn't properly working with my Dell and Dell corporate wasn't willing to fix it. The spacial audio is supposed to enhance movie watching but makes the screen reader echo a lot. I got my Lenovo because I used it at a law firm last summer and thought it was great. It's the Carbon x1.
