You mean you were placed in remedial classes because of low expectations simply because you are VI ?
That’s not right. What does it to docs child’s self esteem?

It would not surprise me if this was common. I never had a reasonable accommodation withheld by teachers when I was succeeding but there were several times when I was placed in remedial classes.
