Greetings everyone!

Two weeks from today, July 7th, the national Association of Blind Lawyers
will be conducting our Annual Meeting as part of the NFB Convention taking
place in New Orleans. Here is the agenda entry for our meeting.

Examine legal issues arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic for the blind;
address ongoing struggles to gain equal access to websites, employment,
legal texts, and exams; share practice tips and technology tools for blind
lawyers. Please go to <http://www.blindlawyers.net/> www.blindlawyers.net
to register for the meeting.

*	12:30 p.m. Registration
*	5:00 p.m. Ticketed reception

Please note that the above times are in the Central time zone.
Additionally, the plan will be to move to the reception part of the program
at 4:30 PM Central.

Next week, we will post the full agenda to our meeting and activate the
ability for you to register online. You will also be able to register in
person. We will be offering the meeting on Zoom as well. The only
restriction to attending online is that those attending virtually will not
be able to vote on any business conducted by the Division.

Even though we are not posting the agenda at this time, I wanted to share
with you some of the featured items we will be presenting. Eve Hill of
Brown Goldstein and Levy will be leading us in a discussion of the Comings
Case and other recent Supreme Court cases and their effect on disability
rights. We will review the scope and breath of the NFB's Legal Program and
the issues we are currently tackling. We will examine closely Section 508
and why it is largely not making federal government information
technology accessible to us. Karla Gilbride will share her experience
arguing before the United States Supreme Court as a blind lawyer. We will
undoubtedly share some practice tips for blind lawyers. Elections for our
Officers and Board Members will be conducted. Last, and certainly not
least, those of us in the Big Easy will socialize and network at our
reception, something we haven't been able to do since 2019.

Please stay tuned for more details. If you have any questions, please feel
free to email off line.

All best,

Scott
