Dear Esteemed Members,
I trust this email finds you in good health and spirits. I am Mallaz Khalil a visually impaired student at the Allard School of Law, University of British Columbia. I am penning this message with profound respect and hope to the community that has surmounted incredible challenges to succeed in the legal field.
Pursuing legal studies at UBC has been both a rewarding and challenging journey. As much as I am grateful for the knowledge and skills I am acquiring, there are instances where I grapple with the competitive nature of our institution. During such times, I can't help but feel overwhelmed and question my path. I am convinced that a guiding hand and a listening ear would help me navigate through these uncertainties, making this journey more manageable.
I am awed by the tenacity and resilience shown by the members of this community. Your triumph over adversity is an inspiration, and I can't help but feel that your experiences could offer valuable lessons to a fledgling law student like me. If anyone would be kind enough to provide some mentorship, or point me towards a suitable mentor, it would mean the world to me.
Additionally, as I am earnestly seeking a summer position for 2024, I would appreciate any leads or suggestions. Rest assured, I am willing to relocate to seize the right opportunity.
I can be reached at 778-960-3538. Alternatively, please feel free to provide me with a way to reach you at your convenience. Every piece of advice, suggestion, or help is cherished and appreciated beyond measure.
Thank you for considering my humble request. I am eagerly waiting to soak in your wisdom and use it to contribute positively to our noble profession.
In deep gratitude,
mallac
