[Blindmath] De-columnizing ieee articles

Hello,

I am using Infty Reader version 2.6.  It does not provide OCR for 2
columns of text as is the standard format for IEEE articles.

In early 2007, someone on the list pointed me to a simple $50 software
utility that converted 2-column tif files to single column tif files.

Could someone recommend a similar program?

Does the latest version of Infty Reader now support decolumnizing?

What are the biggest improvements you have found with the latest version
of Infty Reader?
