[Blindmath] Recommendation: Laptop vs. Desktop

Laptops are basically desktops now in terms of the computing power they
pack. It'll come down to if you want to move around with your new
computer, and if you are willing to pay a bit for that convenience. And
you will probably have minimal success getting a new notebook with
Windows XP, so either shop carefully for a vender that will sell you
Windows XP on the system or make sure you have a separate copy of XP and
the drivers for the new computer close to hand. Very, very few computer
manufacturers ship Windows XP any longer, given that Windows Vista's
predecessor is released to the public on Oct. 22. XP is just, well, old now.
