Mensa people are quite self absorbed.  I used to know one who worshipped 
intelligence to the exclusion of a lot of other things.
It would be interesting to see if Mensa accepts blind persons, although I 
believe they must.  (I only raise the question because I had a teacher in 
high school back in the 70s who believed vision was part of a person's skill 
set and therefore the fact that I couldn't see the map in his history class 
meant I got a D on the map test. This was way beefore the ADA.)

If one needs that kind of validation in one's life then why not write and
ask them. Surely they're smart enough to have figured out this problem by
now. By the way, if you want to read a good book on the subject of
intelligence testing read "IQ A Smart History of a Failed Idea."
