I sent the following to other lists and forgot to include this one. Since
some might be interested in this type of tool, I'm forwarding it.
If you think of another list that might be interested, feel free to forward.

Subject: update on GrabText donation page
Greetings all --This is an update to the mail I posted yesterday about the
collection for development of GrabText by Jamal Mazrui.
GrabText is a tool developed using the Text Grab SDK, for which Jamal wants
to purchase a source license. The cost of the license is $700.00.
To reiterate, because of possible conflict of interest on his page, he has
asked for a volunteer to post a donation button to collect paypal
contributions toward purchase of this license. I agreed to put it on my
personal web page. (See below.)
As most of you know, Jamal has been an active developer of software and
scripts to the blind, especially for making software development tools
accessible on windows. Therefore it is a good bet that he will make good
use of the TGSDK.
At Jamal's request, the page has now been updated with a checkbox for you to
check if you want your name listed in the documentation of his GrabText
tool.
To those who have already contributed, thank you! If you donated before the
checkbox was put up, feel free to send email to jamal at empowermentzone.com
the if you want him to include your name in the documentation.
My website is http://www.woofda.us
where you can find a brief description of the software supplied by Jamal and
a link to his donation page.
If you want to skip the personal front page and go directly to donate, go to
http://www.woofda.us/donation-page.php
Happy surfing.
