[Blindmath] Off topic: Seeking ideas to measure computer literacy among Blind students of a Pakistani University.

Hi Phil,

Thank you for your reply. I think I'll use the self rating approach.
Semi-structured interview appears to me a best sollution. I've no objection
to include PowerPoint and excel into the questionnaire. But I'm not exactly
sure how much Visually impaired students use these to programs? Are you
studying at a University? And I hope you got SPSS to work with Jaws.

Best regards,
faiz.

Hi Faiz,

This sounds like a very interesting research project.

Do you plan to ask the students to rate their own computer literacy
skills, or have them go through some exercise in the questionnaire,
such as asking them to find certain things on the web to answer a
question on the survey to test their skills.

Besides, MS Word, how about Excel and PowerPoint skills?

I would be interested in seeing your findings.

Best,

Phil
