This is, unfortunatley, a problem. Usually math formulas in power point
won't read. If he converts to word, that won't read either. The trouble
is actually two-fold. First, sometimes they use equation editor to
generate the equations. I can't speak with 100% certainty for JAWS, but
Window-Eyes won't read those. Just skips over them, calls it an object.
The second problem is that even if they don't use equation editor, most
formulas have graphic symbols of some type which your screen reader
isn't going to read.

You've got a couple options. I don't know much about math player since I
don't use it, but something with that might be an option. The other
thing you can do if you have access to a reader is to ask them to read
the equations for you. If you have, for example, a word document, you
could tag the stuff you'll need help with. Then it would only take
someone a few minutes to look through and find your tags, then read the
equations for you. You could then copy them into your notes in Braille
or LaTeX or what ever you use for that purpose. A third option is to
look the equations up in your textbook if you have one and if the
equations there are the same as what is in the notes.
