[Blindmath] MathPlayer 3 (Preview Release 1) is now available

Michael,

 Sorry for the confusion.  That is what I get for typing in a hurry.  The
teacher is using Math Type to create her class materials.  Our school
recommends using Mozilla Firefox 5.6 for Blackboard.  I have been out all
day so I was not able to respond.  I think I got an answer from Steve Noble.
I am going to work with the instructor to see if that is going to solve her
problem.

I have to admit I am not fully sure what the situation is and what problem
is being encountered. May be some of the following will help:

* MathPlayer adds MathML support to Internet Explorer.
* Mozilla firefox has built in MathML support therefore does not need
MathPlayer.
* Internet Explorer and MathPlayer is the only accessible combination of
MathML and web browser to screen reader users (IE. Firefox does not give any
accessible MathML).

Here are the specific points where I think I am getting stuck with what you
said. I don't quite understand what is meant by developing materials with
MathPlayer? MathPlayer is for viewing MathML, so did you mean get staff
using MathML to develop their course materials or may be did you mean
MathType? I will possibly take the former for this next bit. So if using
MathML for materials, Mozilla firefox should manage it (at least for sighted
people not needing accessibility). What did you mean where you said that
blackboard uses mozilla? May be its my lack of knowledge of blackboard here,
however I would have thought even if its using a Mozilla browser (including
embedded browser controls) then MathML should work fine. Is it using
blackboard in another way?
