Hello Justin:
Thank you for your note. I have not tried Word's equasion editor. Am doing all this because I want to be able to demonstrate creating DAISY books containing math equasions. I have understood that the combination of MathType, MathDaisy and the Save-As DAISY were the only way to accomplish this.
Regards,
Robert

I have a suggestion.
Have you tried Microsoft Word's equation editor? If not, you might want to try it. It can be a bit laborious, but it is successful because it is a function of Word.
How did it work when you tried using TEX and converting it to Word?

Hello:
I am working on setting up a computer that can be used to demonstrate DAISY production software. One issue is of course how to handle mathematics. I have MathType 6, the MathDaisy plugin and the Daisy player plugin. My question is what is the best way for a blind person to enter math into Word. One solution I have tried is to enter an equation in TEX and let MathType convert it. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
