[Blindmath] quick foirmatting question

Good day! We are using  tiger  and mathtype for our transition program. Both were recently updated. I notice that when problems are numerated,  the number that follows does not have a number sign. ! Here is an example:

1. 45+16 =
In this case, the braille reads number sign, dot 1, dots  456, dots 256 then a space, followed by a low d, low e, etc. There is no number sign preceding the 45.
Has something changed about the transcription of this type of thing or have I been doing something wrong when I transcribe with a brailler? OR is the transcription program wrong? Thanks so much.
