[Blindmath] MathType and JAWS

You were all so wonderful to try to help and yes the piece that I was
missing was in the equations box to choose MathPlayer (IE behavior) from
the drop down.  That allowed me to select IE 5 or greater as my target
browser and JAWS is reading it perfectly...and there was much joyous
celebration !!  Thank you all.

To publish a Word document to a web page using MathType’s MathPage
technology, follow these steps:

   1. Save your Word document.
   2. Choose the Publish to MathPage command from Word’s MathType
toolbar,
   menu or Ribbon tab.
   3. Edit the Title as necessary. It will appear in the browser’s
title
   bar.
   4. Choose the File Name for the web page. The default is to save it
in
   the same folder as the Word document, but with a .htm extension. You
can
   either type in the name of the file or click Browse… and choose it
in the
   Save dialog.
   5. If you’d like to view the page once it’s been generated,
check the
   Display in default browser checkbox.
   6. Now you must decide how you want the document’s equations
displayed in
   the browser. Since you’re creating an accessible web page, you
should select
   MathML using and choose either XHTML+MathML or MathPlayer (IE
behavior) from
   the list. You may notice an option labeled MathZoom that is
available only
   for images and not for MathML. That’s because this option is
enabled
   automatically when people view your web page in Internet Explorer
with
   MathPlayer.
   7. The settings for this web page will be saved in the Word
document, and
   displayed in the dialog if you run this command again. You can also
use
   these settings (other than Title and File Name) as the default
values for
   other web pages by checking the Use settings as defaults checkbox.
   8. Click OK to generate the web page. You’ll see a progress
dialog
   appear, and when the page has been generated it will open up in your
default
   browser (if you selected this option).

You should examine the web page and if you find any problems, modify
the
original Word document and run this command again.
