[Blindmath] STATA

Hello Jonathan
1. I use Stata's main output screen, so removing the variable window was
indeed important for it; made the screen uncluttered . May be using the
browser, you didn't need it. How did you get the output displayed on the
browser?
2. Stat transfer is a good investment for anyone pursuing a research career.
Stata has other means of importing data, one can import csv, txt and xml
files directly, and can then order and manipulate the data. It can be
smoothly done, but depends on the way the original data file was
constructed.
Some data sources, such as the World Bank World Development Indicators for
example, are available directly through Stata command line.
But all this said, I think, one can save lots of time & effort by automating
data import with Stat transfer.

                        cheers Mazhar
