[Blindmath] Using Latex-Access Jaws Script with pdf and pptfiles

Hello,

If your instructors would use MathType in Microsoft word, then you could
immediately convert all the equations into latex, and be able to read/write
them.

You can type TeX directly into Word. When you are done, type
Alt+\ (Toggle TeX) to convert it to a MathType equation. Later,
if you want to edit the equation's
TeX code, just type Alt+\ again. The Toggle TeX command allows you to
switch between TeX and MathType views of the equation.

Good afternoon,

This group is more qualified than I am to answer this question. However,
from experience, I can tell you that you need a combination of all the tools
plus a person that can proof-read and correct errors from Infty reader.
For my classes, I had an instructor who assisted me in converting from the
book pages to the infty and then to MathType. I then used software from
ViewPlus to convert the MathType to Nemeth BRailel so that I could read that
on my BrailleNote and computer.

We can discuss this further. I actually wrote a paper on the process.

Regards,
Jose Tamayo

Hello there,
Thanks for your useful link.
I've visited there and studied some rules in latex.
However, I've recently known that my teacher doesn't use latex language to
write equations. Therefore, I may not have tex file to read.
Someone adviced me to convert pdf to latex file but I tried it and the
result was bad.
Could anyone suggest that how I -a blind person study mathematics and
science without Braille Materials and latex files?
Thank you very much,
Have a great day,
Nam
