[Blindmath] Magnetic Numbers and Math Symbols

Andrew,
I was interested in these since I was thinking they might be helpful for a
person who had visual memory and was just learning braille. They would
have the print number in tactile form with braille labeling I thought.
When I went to the website, I found a sample picture, and I enlarged it.
It was still pretty difficult to read the braille, but it was easy to see
the braille on the number "9." It was wrong! It was labeled with a "0." I
don't think the operation signs that they bragged about had any braille on
them at all. Anyway, just beware. I've already written them an email with
my concerns.
The Math Window has magnetic print numbers, variables, operations, etc. -
basic, algebra, and geometry choices - but these are small tiles in print
and braille only. They are not in the shape of the print numbers or
operations. If the student already knows braille, that would be great. If
not, they will need to learn - but that's a good idea. See:
