I haven't worked with Matlab for a few years but the last installation I did was very complex.
It required not only the java access bridge but also a different java virtual machine and a specific build of JAWS.

Since the java access bridge is now built into java, you may have better luck than I did.

The whole concept of the java access bridge is specific to Windows too so VoiceOver on a Mac may respond differently as well.

I do have some recollection of a student using the command line interface of Matlab on a Mac with some success too so that may be an option.

Java applications are nitorious for accessibility issues. I look forward to hearing from others on this topic.

Best of luck,

Jon

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know what the current state of accessibility of MATLAB is at this point with JAWS, Window-Eyes and VoiceOver on the Mac?

I did some Googling on this topic and have found some pretty involved steps in getting it to work with the Access Bridge. Is this still the case?
