Actually, The vOICe is in active development and runs on both Android and Windows.
In my opinion, this is an excellent system, and the developer is extremely interested in the subject. His mailing list regularly emails articles that discuss related topics.

The biggest drawback is the training time. The web site does provide some good material, but only extended use and practice will ultimately work.

Subject: [Blindmath] vOICe

Hi all,

I recently came across a software called vOICe. It is a fairly old software
from the 90s but is an interesting one. It can sonify visual information. It
even has a graphical calculator. Unfortunately, the sounds are not very
pleasant to listen to but there are nice features.

Did anyone have some experience with vOICe?

Are there also other, perhaps more modern and sophisticated sonification
softwares.

Thanks,

Daniel
