Hi Daniel,

I am a regular user of the vOICe. In the context of math and graphs, you can use
it to see the shape of a graph or diagram. I have not tried using the graphing
calculator but I know that feature does work for sonifying equations of
functions etc. The vOICe is a system for perceiving images via sound. It is not
dedicated to a specific use like an audio graphing calculator.

The windows version can take static images as input and can even be used to
sonify the screen. In addition, You can zoom into images and do manual scans to
study portions of images more closely.

The image to sound mapping is simple though it takes a little time to get used
to.
1. The left to right panning of the sound represents the placement of objects
in the horizontal plain.
2. The pitch of the sound represents height, such that the higher the object,
the higher the pitch.
3. The volume of the sound represents brightness such that the louder the sound,
the brighter the object.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
Pranav
