[Blindmath] MathType in UEB

Hi there,
Which screen reader did you use? The display of math depends on that rather
than the Braille display used I'm pretty sure. NVDA and Math Type is the
only successful combination for math to work.

I tried it with Freedom Scientific's Focus 40 but the Math Equations
appeared as text (five plus four) and not with the relevant Braille
symbols. Also, can the Word files with MathType equations be accessed with
Focus 40 or any other Braille displays?RebeccaFrom: Shannon Pruitt

This seems a perfectly logical thing to do - I as a Nemeth user>

been receiving my math/physics assignments in college> and converting
Word documents with MathType into Braille files through> Duxbury
Braille Translator (DBT) software. I would think that DBT has a few>
UEB templates that can be used when importing Word files with
MathType> content and then translating them into Braille. This would
be if one was to> read a form!
atted Braille (BRF) file on a BrailleNote or other similar> dev ice,

math> content on the fly (say, when reading a Web page with math on
it). Besides,> does Canada use UEB for math as well as literary content,

math/science materials)?>> Thank you,> Daniel>>>
