[Blindmath] Computational software

John,

GNU Octave (https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/) is the GNU free
"equivalent" to MatLab. I haven't used it in forever, so I can't give you a
comparison or help you with its use. However, their home page says "The
Octave language is quite similar to Matlab so that most programs are easily
portable". There are links to documentation with examples from the home
page.
